so, today was a good day. headed off to geylang again (hopefully for the last time) with alifd. the plan was to finish off my raya shopping and never step onto geylang again. i just hope i'll stick to that promise. we were walking around when we bumped into my aunts and cousins. ended up breaking fast with them. had a long bus ride home with alifd. 'twas a great day spent. thanks, hunn.

and also, today's the 5th. 35 months have passed and we're still going strong together. alhamdulillah, we've come this far. a month more to our 3rd year anniversary. i'm praying that our relationship will last till when-when. i love you very, very much, alif danial.

i shall save more of the mushy-smoochy stuff for the next month, haha.

i was so damn bored and my hands were damn itchy. so, i created this blogskin. nothing much, but it is definitely more toned down than the previous one. i loike (:

my saturday was uneventful. i stayed at home the whole day and sat in front of the laptop most of the day. i caught two movies online: Serendipity and The Ugly Truth. the first one was okay. nothing wow, but it was sweet. i know i should've waited for The Ugly Truth to come out in cinemas but then, i knew alifd wouldn't want to watch it with me. so, i just watched it online first. it was funny and witty. i laughed at most parts. i think Gerard Butler's hot in a rugged and messy sorta way. i don't know haha.

oh yes! i watched this hindi movie on vasantham yesterday. so touching like anything! i wanted to cry but couldn't cry because i was fasting. and i think aamir khan is hotter now that he's older. the movie's kinda draggy but go watch, go watch! :D

yesterday, i decided to tidy up my mac and give it a mini makeover haha.

went through my school assignments and stuff and sorted them out. dek gave me this link to download icons for mac and i went crazy! hahaha, just look at my finder. and obviously, i'm stuck to polaroid designs.

well, as you can see, my weekends were boring. looking forward to iftar at nenek's house later. hoping that the week to come will be much more fun. adiratna trainings! can't wait :D

i can't go back to sleep. i'm very full. i think i'll go back to sleep after this.

it's officially the second week of Ramadhan and it feels good. the past week was fine. went to break fast with family and friends and of course, alifd. looking forward for more iftar sessions and Geylang, especially!

last night, met up with my secondary school girlfriends (sarah, wani, mas, aminah and ummu) it was a great night! 'twas fun reminiscing and recalling about the old secondary school days. i miss those times. shall upload the pictures once i get my hands on them from ummu. we should do it again some time. Geylang, next?

oh yes, school's officially out for me! my vacation awaits. i'm very excited to do nothing this holidays. i am not planning to get a job and i've been getting a earful from alifd because of that. he said i should change my mindset and be independent in a way. well, i probably should but not this time around. next time lah ah.

speaking of alifd, i've been seeing a lot of his face lately. lol, not that i'm complaining. yesterday, before meeting up with the girls, i had a mini movie marathon with him at the school library. ini lah orang berpuase. tak ade tempat lain nak pergi. will probably be heading out to Geylang with him this tuesday because he wants to look for his raya costume.

father's complaining that my room is really messy. well, i think he's exaggerating lah but i should probably spend some time during the holidays to at least tidy it up la ah. maybe update the photos in the frames. the photo of me and alifd was taken ages ago. time to change to a new one [:

MRM is officially over! Alhamdulillah, the paper was doable. i'm glad i actually studied for this one. no high hopes. just a pass for this paper, insya'Allah.

yesterday, after the paper, headed off to meet alifd. didn't know where to go, so we ended up at Bugis. i almost went nuts there. got my allowance for the month and headed to Bugis Street to do some shopping. got myself a dress and a small bag to replace my tattered Billabong one. i'm still itching to go shopping again. nothing beats retail therapy.

oh yes, alifd got his bike license already! now, i'm very worried and nervous about breaking the news to my parents. how eh? :/

Ramadhan has finally kicked in. first day was alright. iftar with my extended paternal family was fun! had a mini birthday celebration for the August babies (brother and uncle) i was frigging bloated after the whole thing. the sight of food made me wanna puke. but all in all, 'twas a great night (:

and tonight, we realised that the house is getting a little too squeezy to fit everyone in. then, my aunt said, "yelah, semue dah besar. yang kecik tinggal 3 je."

i have no idea why but that made me feel kinda sad. gone were the days where the cousins would play outside my grandparents' house with anything (and i mean anything from straw mats to the little hole on the floor) and my late grandma would call us in before maghrib. every saturday or sunday, our parents would drop us at rumah nenek (as everyone used to call it. when she passed on, it immediately changed to rumah atok. it's still rumah atok til today) we would lock ourselves up in our uncle's room and come up with activities to occupy ourselves with and he would come home and we would get scolded because we messed up his room.

now, everyone's growing up and soon, some of my cousins are getting hitched. see how fast time flies.

i don't really blog about my family but today, i just felt like it was appropriate. heh.

well, pushing all the emo and nostalgic thoughts aside, i can feel a storm coming. my friends have been twittering about rain and storms in their neighbourhood. i know i might come off as a wuss but thunderstorms and strong winds still scare the shiz out of me. oh my.

i finally watched Moulin Rouge this afternoon and i cried like a baby. well, whud's new? and also, me and alifd went to watch Orphan last weekend. i swear, it was frigging creepy! i wanted to get out of that theatre so bad. i can't stand movies with blood and eerie sound effects. itu lah, nak sangat kan tengok. nah, ambik kau!

i'm coughing real bad now.

fasting month is kicking in on saturday. i'm half-looking-forward and half-dreading it. i don't know why. usually, i'd be excited that the fasting month's coming because that would mean raya is also coming. but nah, not this time round. sigh.

i wanna switch on the air-con and curl up in a ball under my blanket and stay in that position for the rest of the week. i don't feel like getting up to do anything. my bed is too comfortable (despite the fact that i can already feel the springs)

my beloved PFPA peopoe (haha albert haha) are planning for a bbq/break fast session at my house next wednesday. i hope everyone will be able to make it. i miss them all so much. it's been months since i've seen them (not counting li since i've just met him last week)

The 'what-if' game. I'm sure most of those who are or were in a relationship had ever played this game with their partners before. One will ask a question and the other one will answer it.

I've played this game with my boyfriend before. Just for the fun of it, of course. We will ask each other questions like, "What if one day, you have to choose between me and a million dollars?" or "What if one day we get married and have lots of kids?".

In some instances, I would answer it playfully like, "What if one day I have to choose you and someone else? I would choose neither because it won't be fair to either of you."

He would give me that look and sulk. But then again, he knows that I didn't mean it.

However, whenever the situation gets a little too serious, there's only one question that never fail to make my heart sink.

"What if one day, you wake up just to find out that i'm gone?"

Hmmm, my answer would always be the same.

"I have no idea."

I hate to think about instances like that. Having to lose someone is definitely one of the most difficult things to go through in life.

If they were to ask me that question before, I think I would've given them my usual answer, because I had no idea the pain and the loss would be this difficult to bear.

It doesn't hurt to think about the what-ifs once in a while, does it? Just as long as we keep in mind that they're only the what-ifs and never let them get to us.

i'm very addicted to that song. i think it's veh, veh nice. it's been quite some time since i tuned to the malay radio stations. my knowledge on the latest malay hits is zilch, pfft.

TV pro is (almost) over! the filming is done, left with improvising the proposal. it was really one heckuva roller coaster ride with my babies. being the director was the biggest responsibility i've ever gotten in my academic life. it was damn fun and i'm glad i got the best teammates ever!

i really hope the advanced TV production elective will be open for us next year. i would take it, no doubt.

tomorrow is the last day of IS. i am sorry for saying this but i'm kinda glad that drama's coming to an end. after this, i'm only left with two major exam papers to clear. i'm getting really nervous. i haven't even started revising yet. there are like a million things to revise for advertising and media research methods each. i really should start soon before i tear myself bald next thursday.

that was a huge burden off my shoulders.

Hyrul Anuar's showcase is finally over. alhamdulillah, the whole event went smoother than i had anticipated. my duet with yanti was great! even though sore throat and flu weren't doing any mercy. fortunately, we didn't miss any lines or anything. closing was fine. it was definitely one of the nights with MCC i would remember most. thanks for the great effort and support, loves.

presentations for advertising, media research methods and media management are over. that's 3 down and tons to go. i have newswriting final assignment due on tuesday, tv production demo show recording on wednesday and drama and poetry performance on friday. oh yes, i have examinations for advertising and media research methods too. shiz. i haven't started on my newswriting. i'm seriously digging my own grave.

sickness is attacking full-force. i tell you, it's taking revenge because i've been saving myself from flu and sore throat for the whole week. damn it.

parents and brother are off at malaysia for my cousin's wedding and zahd is staying over at my place to keep company. sad that i have to miss it because of assignment. i'll definitely make it for the september one.

then on sunday, i spent my birthday at Kampong Chai Chee CC. went there to support Paduka and STW and i'm very happy that they're off for the finals! it's double happiness in one day. spent the rest of my birthday with alifd before heading to yishun, where i celebrated with my family.

i've received quite a number of presents from my loved ones. i was surprised by the gift(s) alifd got me! i totally wasn't expecting them. wanna see whud he bought me? :D

i am very, very tired.

i feel like i'm stretched beyond limits. i feel like there's never time for me to take a breather. everytime i'm just about to relax, another deadline pops up and the next thing i know is that i have only three days left to complete my work.

i shall not give up just yet.

i've reached a point where i'm dreading every day of the week. life is so bleak. i go through the same ordeal every single day. and while other rejoice when the day ends, i'll just be like, "oh shit, today's over but there's still tomorrow."

i feel troubled.

i miss having my greatest friends around. and by greatest, i mean hyuk. i miss being among people who know me through and through, who can read me like a book. being around hyuk, i don't have to care about whud others think and how i look and act and all. being among them, i can be comfortable in my own skin. i don't have to worry about trust issues or anything else. i know i can depend on them and they can depend on me too.

now that i don't really see them anymore, i don't think there's anyone who can replace them. don't get me wrong, i love my new friends. but, i believe that it takes some time to build that kind of bond with someone. whudever i have with hyuk, i have yet to find it with anyone else. besides my boyfriend, of course.

after receiving the most grieving news i can ever receive about my grandpa, i was startled about the passing of MJ three days after. i was so sad, i cried like a baby. MJ, you'll be missed ):

a lot of things happened while i'm MIA from this blog. advertising snatched away my one week break. everyone was getting so angsty and all. i hated that period of time. i was almost afraid that we'd fall apart because of it. but nah, you know i still love you, girls. i did pretty well for most of my assignments, alhamdulillah. just hope that those marks can compensate for my sucky ones.

my social life has also been pretty much taken away from me due to school. i haven't seen my friends (hyuk, bb) in a very, very long time. i'm sorry, guys :/ i need to watch transformers, since my classmates can't really talk about it because i haven't watched it. i can't go retail therapy because i'm basically broke due to advertising. dang. whud a sad life.

Harry Potter movies are showing on channel 5 for the next four sundays. i hope i won't be out on sunday nights. i don't wanna miss them. and i need to start reading HP again. should read the 6th and last book. i guess i'll go to the library tomorrow.

oh yes, my love life's been wonderful. alifd's been a ngeeeeeek and a sweetheart at the same time. and he's botak now! hahahaha now, he won't have to worry about messing up his hair when he lays his head on my shoulder to sleep in the bus. but nonetheless, his toilet visits are still as long. and and and, he's the new sub juara for paduka. hahahaha dua-dua kene tarik. but so far, he's enjoying it and i'm fine with it because i get to see him at least twice a week now.

i ate a lot today. and i mean, a lot. oh my goodness. but oh well, i'm starting to feel more and more comfortable about my body and size. the other day, someone asked me to go slim down. and my response?

"I've been fat my whole life. I don't see why I should change myself."

i know, i know. people will start giving me lectures about being fat equals to higher risks of contracting terminal illnesses. but if i've been fat my whole life and since people around me know me as a fatty, i don't know why i should slim down just for the sake of slimming down. besides, someone said i look better if i'm gemok hehehehe (:

but i guess shedding a few kilos shouldn't be a problem if i wanna feel healthier.

anyways, enough about weight issues. tomorrow is the third sunday of june and that would mean it's fathers' day! i guess me and family won't be celebrating it this year. at least, i won't be around and i feel bad. plus, father's still in hospital. he was supposed to be discharged today but then, the doctor still needed to retain him. this is the second time that father's not at home to celebrate fathers' day with us (last year, he went for umrah)

the day was well-spent with alifd today. basically, we lazed around, ate ice-cream, spend some QT and watched Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. the movie was better than i expected. and Matthew McConaughey was awesome!

my weekend's gonna be a blast! orkid's first birthday party on saturday. mel, aku dah broke. present will be given later-later eh! heh. fortunately, saturday's date with hyukies is gonna be postponed to sunday. karaoke plus swimming with my babats! kalau singapore banjir kilat on sunday, itu sebab kite ah agaknye. so, that would mean i won't be able to meet up with the MCC kakis for the lepak session. sorry, babies! but, i will still get to see them on monday during the Bahas 4PM semis.

i finally got meet alifd today! we went around bugis and all. oh yes, we took the bus to millenia walk and stupidly waited for a 961 to come and played silly games, only to find out that the service doesn't operate through that route on weekdays. a big HAHA, seriously. we headed to yishun after that to chill and eat ice-cream and headed home, just to get out again 10 minutes after because father wants to have dinner outside.

father's going off for operation tomorrow. insya'Allah, all will go well and i'm hoping for the best.

as yall may or may not know, i'm currently addicted to the Twilight series. i'm really a sucker for romance novels and this series definitely wowed me. i'm foolishly falling for the male characters, going gaga over the romantic scenes and almost crying over the heartwrenching ones. keyword here: almost. oh my goodness. i was reading Eclipse in the bus just now and there was this heartbreaking exchange between bella and jacob and i was tearing! whud the hell is wrong with me? well, that just goes to show whud a good writer Stephenie Meyer is.

i saw a promotion at Kinokuya. the whole series is sold at $70++, i think? i've been pressing someone to get the set for my birthday but i guess it's too costly. i think i'll just save up for it or something.

Malaysian's movie ticket pricing is really, really syiok. RM45 for 6 people.

i just got back from the movies with my aunts and cousins. we watched the show Syurga Cinta. it made me one heck of a wuss. i teared a lot, seriously.

the movie is based on love and religious themes. shows how love should be a noble thing and not something to be toyed with. in some ways, it made me feel guilty. sendiri mau ingat ah eh.

don't get me wrong but sometimes, i wished i'd have met alifd later in my life. probably, when i'm ready to build a family or something? so that, once i found this great bond, i'd settle for the right path. i mean, i am in love but i know we're still too young. you know whud i mean?

but nevertheless, i'm really grateful for having him as a part of my life. a part of me.

i think i've been listening too much to mother and other people talking about me getting married.

let's talk about whud happened for the past week.

it was mainly school, school and more school last week, until friday. lynnalep turned a month older and we went to celebrate after my discussion with groupmates. i was treated like a pampered bitch lah. he gave me a treat at pizza hut for lunch and after that, we headed to Singapore Flyer! finally, i got to go up that thing! it was awesome la omg! the view was splendid. the whole ride was really awesome. to top it all off, i feel like i'm on top of the world with my favourite man (:

i bummed at grandma's the whole saturday and finally caught Twilight. although the movie didn't do much justice to the great work by Stephenie Meyer, i can't deny how charming Rob Pattison is. really! omgggggg, i think it's the movie that made him look good. he was nowhere near that charming in Harry Potter. i'm currently in the frenzy and ditched the novel i was reading to read New Moon. another reason why i'm not starting on newswriting.

on sunday evening, headed to Admiralty park for dek's eighteenth birthday bash! okay lah, not a bash. it was a celebration for this ketotz. as usual, i prepared my specialty: Carbonara! hahahaha ape lagi yang aku boleh buat kan? laku okay! lesap in less than 10 minutes. lol, action ah. i hope you enjoyed your birthday, love! sayaaaaaaaang kau.

i have a pile of assignments to do but i'm feeling very, very tired.

it's supposed to be study week for all courses in NP but then again, there's no common tests for the people in my semester. so, classes go on as per normal. assignments are piling up, as usual. i've got one due this friday and i'm mostly done (thank God) and i've got consultation with my newswriting lecturer tomorrow. i hope i got my stuff right. i have another group assignment due next friday and some TV show to produce by the first week of term 2. life is so bleak.

anyways, last weekend was fantabulous. i spent both days in alifd's company. on saturday, we went out on a movie date in town and caught Night At The Museum 2. i didn't really find the whole movie funny, except for a few parts, but it was entertaining. on sunday, he accompanied me to cineleisure again for my assignment. after that, chilled out, spent some QT and headed to grandpa's at yishun.

shit, i can't stop coughing.

i can't believe H1N1 is already in Singapore. it's spreading really, really fast and since i first heard the news, i've been really freaked out. the worst part about this shit is that there's no way you can know that you're infected with it. you get a high temperature only after getting infected. haiya, this is really scary.

anyways, next weekend, i'm following my parents to KL to visit my aunt and also have a small vacation. i shall be a responsible person and hand in my travel declaration forms. kiasi, i know.

i really can't wait for 2 weeks break because i'll get to wake up late. i guess i'll just leave my assignments for tomorrow and go to sleep.

aku macam lambat sikit, but kris won! i still can't get over the excitement of it all. i'm feeling kinda sad too that adam didn't win because he's a far, far better singer than kris is. but oh well, kris won!

me and the balls have been fan-girling over kris allen for the past few days. he's so cute! and has a very nice and sultry voice to boot. i am very, very happy that he won. but i have the feeling that he will be ridden by the American Idol curse. i just hope that he won't be a flop like some of the past idol winners. and just like whud i did for DC baby, i'll buy his album! yeah yeah!

i still can't get over how great the finale was. i think this year's finale is better than last year (well, not taking the finalists' bad rendition of So What and the not-so-great idol song into consideration) there were two of my favourite moments during the show that actually brought me to tears while eating maggi (besides the part of kris' crowning moment):

david cook's performance. he sang the song Permanent (one of my favourite songs from his album) and i'm very, very moved. macam gile kan, but the meaning is so deep. plus, it's actually a song about his late brother and so, that makes it more meaningful than ever. awww, DC.

2.
awww, this part really brought me to tears. these two are so sweet together. kris actually cried once he was in his wife's arms and started to hug her closer. it was the kind of sight that would make you go 'awwww...' kan? i hope they'll last forever and ever.

makes me wonder when was the last time i spent time with my own :/

and now, i'm feeling sad because there's nothing left to look forward to everytime i reach home every wednesday and thursday night ):

my previous post was a very brief recap on alifd's birthday.we didn't go ahead with the initial plan as things got cropped up a few days before his special day. so, i kinda surprised him that day and we worked things out. we had lunch at Pastamania and he opened his presents. glad you liked them, B. hehehe in the evening, headed off to WCP to have dinner and catch the sunset. it was the most beautiful sight i got to see on that day. all in all, we had fun. thanks, dear!

school's good... so far.

timetable sucks. i end at 5 almost everyday. but at least, tutorials start in the afternoon on wednesday and thursday. that would mean that i can wake up late. but not for long, since the projects are going to kick in very, very soon.

first two days had been a blast! i missed a few lessons, thanks to the CCA fiesta. nevertheless, i had a lot of fun performing and making a fool out of myself for the past two days. adiratna had to perform and i kinda forgot my lyrics on the first day. fortunately, it wasn't that obvious, except to those who know the song. i wasn't given any booth duties and was quite relieved for that sebab kalau bab promote-promote nie semue, aku macam malu ah. HAHA. plus, we had this guerilla thingy where all the departments are supposed to buat kecoh depan booth to attract the freshies and all. it was my favourite part of everything! despite having to sing dangdut in a bass voice, macam shiok gitu ah!

i've been having fun for the past few days. on monday, went to hang out at jurong west with alifd and the usuals. it's damn great to finally meet them again because it's been quite some time. bile mau outing lagi, people?

then, on tuesday, adiratna had this post-comp gathering. we had pizza and karaoke, thanks to adee! karaoke pon, sendirian berhad nye. lol. adee brought the VCDs and her laptop, and i got the projector. plus, the mic, speakers and amplifier were already at the clubhouse. gerek pe? boleh set up business karaoke orang kahwin, kan adee kan? lol. although not all came for the party, it was still a success. we gila-gila and i finally got to see the real yanti. miang kau. hahahaha. thanks so much for the great time, girls! and and and! thanks for giving me such a warm welcome when i first started out. walaupun aku lambat seberape tapak, i'm really looking forward to being a part of the family for the next 2 years! :D

those who are really close to me and had went through secondary school with me would know that i'm not someone who is really semangat CCA. in BP, i wasn't one of those active band members. i didn't go to trainings regularly, i didn't attend gatherings or dinners together, i went to trainings for the sake of CCA points. seriously.

however, i have no idea why it's such a different case this time around. for one, i'm relieved that my old habit hadn't surfaced so far. perhaps, i'd finally found my calling and passion in language by joining cendekiawan and in that department, i've met up with great people that really brighten up my days during meetings and trainings. plus, now that i've joined another department and found that this is whud i love to do, i hope i've made the right choice and make my time there worth it (:

school's starting on the 20th and i'm really, really not looking forward to it. besides meeting up with my friends again, a 7-module-semester is not a gift wrapped in a box with a ribbon on top. it's a ticking time bomb. it just depends on whether i'm going to diffuse it or let it explode. bah!

This man, he entices her even in the most ridiculous and vexing moments. This man, he makes her love him with all she's got.

He stirred and she backed off a little bit. He opened an eye and looked at her through one lowered eyelid.

"Morning, sweetcakes," he said, "thank you for appearing in my dreams."

She chuckled, feeling her whole body and soul rejuvenating just at the sight of his sleep-rumpled look and hearing his deep, melodious voice. She looked deep into his eyes. Hell, she could just lose herself in those brown eyes.

She touched his cheek with the back of her hand. He kissed her knuckles, his eyes still on hers, and mouthed the words 'I love you'. She felt a rush of electricity run through her veins.

"I love you too," she mouthed the words back to him and in that moment, she felt as if she was the luckiest person in the whole world.

condolences to a friend of mine who suffered a great loss today. we grieve along with you, sweets.

there's just something about people passing on and funerals that always strike a chord within me. whenever i get such bad news, my heart would just race and i'd panic for a moment, even though the one who's passed is someone unfamiliar to me. it's as if i was awakened in the morning to the sounds of my mum bawling, telling me my grandma had passed on.

oh well, my past few days have been okay. i've been bumming at home since adiratna trainings seized. yesterday, i spent time with alifd. 'fetched' him from work (haha) and had a huuuuge lunch at swensens. maklumlah, orang tu dah gaji hehehehe. after that, headed for Lot 1 to catch Confessions of a Shopaholic. the movie's not whud i expected it to be (boring and very chic-flicky) funny gile! me and alifd laughed our asses off in the cinema. after that, i took bus home only to alight after 2 stops because i got up at the wrong side. blah.

i'd be babysitting brother for the whole day tomorrow and i just hope that the both of us won't die of boredom since we're pretty much stuck in the house for 24 hours with only each other. maybe i should bring him down to swim or play squash.

macam nak nangis pon ade ah.

i'm really, really disappointed. we didn't make it. honestly, i myself wanted this badly, but well, obviously fate wasn't on our side yesterday. but we knew we did our best. right, girls?

that's one chapter closed for me. now, they're pestering me to be permanent and i'm still thinking it through. these 2 weeks have been such a roller coaster ride. i went through a whole lot with this fantastic bunch of girls. it'll be really great to work with them again but, there's just some setbacks that is pulling me back from making the decision. i'm really, really tired. 'nuff said.

but amidst all that, i'm really happy for paduka! they made it through to the next round! congrats, guys. yall deserve it. adiratna will be there all the way to support yall k! :D

now that the competition is over, i'm back to chilling and bumming at home. i gotta catch up with my social life.

it's been quite some time since i went on a date with alifd. i wanna get out with him soonish! like, go watch movie or something. latest ones eh, hello! not those DVDs borrowed from the school library. saturday, maybe?

i'm browsing through photos taken of me and alifd since we got together (again) heh. to this date, i think we have more than a thousand pictures taken because both of us pantang nampak/ade camera. the fun thing is that at every picture i look at, i try to recap whud actually happened before, during and after the picture was taken:

this picture was taken at esplanade. if i'm not wrong, BB celebrated my belated birthday at seoul garden at bugis and after that, we chilled at esplanade because we had no idea where to go.

our first (i think) date that we wore the same colour. kirekan macam sweet gitu ah. lol. we went to town and that was his father's shirt.

this was taken in 302. zaman rambot mangkok. i think i had CIP in the morning and met up with him after that. baru-baru together lah.

i remember this! hahahaha the first date we went to with my mother's permission. it was to celebrate our monthsary and we went for makan, chilled at esplanade. a great day indeed!

i have no idea where do i go with adiratna after this competition. should i be permanent or not? but there's just a lot more than i can handle.

i'm feeling better. finally, i had an opportunity to throw up everything that i've been bottling all this while. it feels good. but still, a part of me is still crushed. go figure, baby.

my throat is starting to hurt and now is definitely one of the worst times to have a sore throat or flu. i've been packed with trainings and so far, i'm able to cope with all the warm-ups and sorts. oh, fyi, i've been pulled by some people to become the juara for adiratna for the upcoming competition. nervous giler babz la omg. there's still a lot more to learn within one week, but thank God i have the instructors and my peers to assist me. i'm very, very nervous about the competition. well, who's not?

anyways, i just received news that team BP clinched third for NUS Deklamasi Sajak this year! whoot! now, why did i have to miss it? damn it. but anyways, kudos to team BP and abang anuar!

hearing this good news, i started to recall the days when we had to practice for Deklamasi Sajak '07. it was so fun! seeing berok learning all the choreography, coming up with all the silly costumes using recycled materials and so on. i really miss those bittersweet days ):

talking about theatre, tomorrow night, DSL's having a post-production party at zahd's house and the theme is animal farm. i was like, whud?! i have nothing relevant to wear. when i told zahd about my idea, she laughed. oh wells.

alhamdulillah, MCC AGM cum 10th anniversary celebration went smoothly, despite the bad weather. the AGM committee had their hands full for the whole day and the publications/deco was not spared at all. it didn't help that the venue was changed and we had to think of an immediate deco plan for LT73. however, all went well and the show went on briskly. plus, fortunately, my voice didn't terkehel while i was performing heh (: the video will be uploaded once i get my hands on it. in the meantime, here are the pictures taken by mel (:

just a brief update.

syukur alhamdulillah, my results for the last semester was definitely a great surprise. my GPA actually got up and i'm really, really happy that i did well in both my socpsyc and writcomm. the bonus is that i'm not the only one who did well. kudos to dearest janey for getting a perfect grade. the other balls, i'm so happy for you girls too. let's just take that the outing just now was a mini-celebration for all our hard work k?

the two shows were splendid. saturday's crowd was bigger than friday's, i think. apologies to hyuk and some of my other friends for not being able to get yall seats for these productions. if there's a next time, i'll definitely ask yall along k? anyways, i think the whole cast and crew did great for both days. i think we all deserve pats on our backs. i'm gonna miss all of these people. i really hope we'll get together some time soon.

i know i won't be able to be a part of this great project if not for the support of my loved ones, especially my parents and boyfriend. they had to stand the late nights, the pushing aside of other commitments, the busy schedules. thanks for being so understanding (:

i'm feeling very, very low for quite unknown reasons and it's not helping at all. tomorrow's D-Day and i'm starting to feel all jittery. but as surya (production manager) said, it's done. so, i guess i'll just do my best and get it over and done with.

this feelings stirred in me, wah lao! they're damn annoying. they're so mixed up, i can't even explain whud they are. but as usual, it's the hormones acting up. whud can i say? i just hope i don't hurt/annoy/irritate/anger anyone in the process.

on a brighter note, today's combined rehearsal was fun. we danced the Visa dance and i laughed a hell lot. laughter is definitely the best medicine.

i'm gonna miss all these once the production wraps up on saturday. and just now, agnes (director) asked if we're going to continue acting once this is over. i have yet to consider it but perhaps, i should give it a shot again.

for now, i hope lady luck will be smiling down on the cast and crew tomorrow and on saturday.

that is the view from my living room window. the rain comes down in thick sheets. i can't even see the rest of the buildings outside. it can get really scary sometimes, with the lightning and the thunder and wind and all but the weather's great for sleeping :D

since i'm having my school vacation right now, mother has left most of the household chores unattended for me. and sad to say, this is my first time operating the washing machine without having her snooping around behind me to see if i've pushed the correct buttons or put in the right colours of clothes. i hope i did fine!

i've gained a lot of weight during this break despite being active in DSL rehearsals. the thing is that i don't eat dinner before going for rehearsals. stupid kan? but well, yeah. i'll only eat once i reach home which will be at eleven or something. talk about a bad diet plan ey? i really should hit the gym soon. but i don't think that'll help either.

performance's in four days' time and i'm really, really not feeling the vibes yet. yesterday, the three of us (me, lin and zahd) sort of lost focus during combined characterisation with the cast of My Yesteryears and got reprimanded by the director. scary habes.

damn, i'll be damn bored once Double Bill is over. my evenings will be empty (except for the next week, since i'll be busy with preparing for MCC's AGM) and there won't be anything to look forward to everytime i wake up on mondays, wednesdays and thursdays anymore ):

it's so great to hear that my cousins received awesome results for their A-levels. baik ah baik! :D

now, i'm getting nervous, anticipating my own results for the last semester. shit, damn it. i'm seriously not confident that i'm gonna do well. if i get less than a 2.8 this semester, i will be totally disheartened. it's not me to be putting on high hopes and setting targets for myself (my close friends would know) but i can't help it. i can actually feel the pressure of having to do well from my parents already. i think it'll be a great bonus for them if i can pursue a degree in a local university by the end of these three years. haiya, this is tougher than i thought it would be.

i've been doing a number of designing and creative work lately and a thought popped up in my head while i was working on the AGM poster. wouldn't it be nice if i can start up a mini business of creating invitation cards and event posters? it'll be sort of a part-time thing and i can earn extra income from doing all these. buat kad-kad untuk orang kahwin. waaaah, best nye! but then again, all that's wishful thinking. God knows how long and how much effort it will take in order to start a mini venture like that. for now, do voluntary sudah lah eh.

eh shit! i just realised that DSL's performance will be next week. oh my Gosh! i'm feeling all the jitters now. whud if i screw up? whud if i don't perform well? whud if i forget my lines? whud if i can't feel the sadness? whud if i can't make Bibik real? oh. my. shit!

haiya, hopefully the remaining rehearsals will be really, really productive ones.

for now, i'm gonna finish off the book that i'm reading. i'm starting to fall in love with novels by Linda Lael Miller and the cowboys in it. waaah, i need to go to the library and stock up on novels for the rest of my holiday.

it feels so great to finally slack at home after a whole hectic and tiring week.

pardon me for not updating for quite a while. alifd's been pestering me to update but i just can't get myself to it. plus, i won't be surprised if people already lose interest in this space of mine.

My Yesteryears/Perempuan Simpanan

anyways, the past week has been a busy one. i had DSL practices and full dress rehearsal on monday, wednesday and thursday. thursday's rehearsal was particularly draining and we ended up leaving NUS at 11. i'm glad to see that we've been progressing quite well for the past few practices. and eventually, all the fatigue paid off! yesterday, during the company preview, the Perempuan Simpanans received relatively good comments. we didn't get bombarded as much as we anticipated. but despite all that, i think much more can be improved so that our performance on the actual day will be a blast! jia you, peoples!

last sunday, i spent time with my babes. hyuk celebrated the feb babies' birthdays at Chevrons KTV lounge. it was a great day spent singing, dancing, shouting, screaming, jumping on the couch and acting like superstars. my favourite part of the whole day was when me and wani came in with the birthday cake and everyone started singing to Your Guardian Angel. awww, i love you babats. we gotta hang out soon kay? <3

oh yes, school's out for me and i'm really nervous for my results. damn it. i got a B for my final speech so there goes my target of at least a B+ for speechcomm. i really hope i'll do well for my socpsyc and writcomm. i'm really counting on these two to get a GPA of at least 2.8. sighs.

last night, after the company preview, i headed to alifd's sister's house for his nephew's 6th birthday party. he looooves Ben 10, so everyone bought him Ben 10 stuff. he even got two of the same present lol. we played games like Charade, Mr Tak Tau and 5 Questions. it was really kecoh ah. i enjoyed myself tremendously and surprisingly, i don't feel out of place anymore :D at the end of the night, his father sent me and haikal's lyyana home.

well, i'm off for another hectic week filled with practices, rehearsals and meetings. i have yet to come up with the designs for the AGM certificates. i'm gonna work on it now.

school's out for me for another two months or so. i'm planning to not work and just hibernate at home. i'll just hope that i won't gain so much weight within these eight weeks. nonetheless, i'm quite packed for the time being with rehearsals for DSL. performance will be in another 3 weeks and fortunately, things are starting to turn clearer and better. my role is much less, uhh, monotonous. for those of you who are interested in catching the short play, do click here! k best :D

i've also been spending a lot of time with alifd. i stole a bit of time before going for rehearsals to meet up with him after his classes. now, i'm getting really sick of clementi. our relationship's going on very smoothly lately and i'm thankful for that. hopefully, we won't have any more major arguments la kan. the last one was a killer, gosh!

the other day, i bumped into an ex-schoolmate of mine and our conversation drifted to the topic about me and alifd...

riiiight. surprisingly, or not surprisingly, i've been getting quite a number of similar comments from some of my friends and even some family members. well, me and alifd have been talking and thinking about the future together. luckily, talking about the future doesn't seem to scare him off like how i expected guys to. but obviously, we're still young and has our whole lives laid out in front of us. so, we'll take it one step at a time la eh. kalau ade jodoh, insya'Allah. siape tahu kan? (:

now that school's over and i'm only left with one more assignment which is due tomorrow, i'm trying to keep my blog alive and updated as frequently as possible.

it's a sunday and staying home for the whole day is quite a bonus since i've been leaving home early in the mornings and coming home late for the past week. i'm gonna start on watching Friends again. i have been putting the series aside so as to focus on my assignments for the past few weeks, so yeah. i think i deserve some dose of Friends now!

oh yes, i really need to make up my mind whether to work or not to work for the next two months. a part of me is saying i should look for a job, or else i'll be bored to my wits for the next eight weeks. but another part of me is saying that i should just stay home and help mother do household chores and ask her for extra pocket money hehehehehehe. as usual, parents are asking me to go back to Elias and teach but then, i wanna do something different la kan.

that aside, yesterday was 14th Feb. me and alifd didn't celebrate Valentine's but we did go out. headed to botanic gardens and bumped into burn and aqilah. they were from botanic gardens too. me and alifd walked around and took a few snapshots here and there. we started to perspire a lot because it was friggin' hot! eh, that rhymes! hahaha anyways, after botanic gardens, we had a biiiig lunch at Nana Thai restaurant. we were really, really bloated and decided to walk around for a spell. joined burn and aqilah again at Plaza Singapura. chillaxed at starbucks and walked again all the way to city hall. we did a lot of walking yesterday, didn't we? at the end of the day, alifd sent me back to my grandma's. not more than five minutes after i stepped into the house, i was out again to follow my aunt and uncle go jalan-jalan. they bought me and brother a pair of shoes each! :D i got a pair of everlast pumps that i've been eyeing.

my life would suck without you.

school's ended but i'm still left with radio assignment to complete.

now that school's done, i really have no idea whud to do with my time for the next two months or so. i think i should work but then, i don't know. mother's asking me to go back to Elias to work but i feel like doing something else for a change. retail or something. i don't know? plus, i'm gonna miss my dear friends, especially the balls ): i have no idea if we're gonna be in the same class in year 2 or not but let's just pray hard that i'll be in the same class with at least one of them.

anyways, speech went quite okay. a bit of glitches here and there but at least, we made it through! phew. i hope all the drama would pay off. and and, i got a B+ for my speech quiz and and A+ for my phonetics journal! yay to hours spent on pointing out people's mistakes in pronunciation! :D hopefully, those two will make up for the Cs i got for my first two speeches.

today's the thirteenth and it's the birthdays of two special persons in my life. my dad and hyuker, kiki! happy birthday to the both of you! :D there's no celebration for father's celebration this year. not even makan-makan. oh well.

DSL performance will be in about four weeks' time and there's a hell lot to improve on. bah! i'm really jittery now but let's hope for the best kay!

tomorrow's V Day and also farah's birthday! i know it's inappropriate to celebrate V Day but well, it's a day to celebrate all the love in the world, right? alifd and i are going for a date tomorrow. baik ke pe! sorry chanel, i have to ditch you this time around. don't worry, darling. we'll meet up soonish! hehehehehehe.

i'm really, really tired. i have been sleeping late for the past few days completing assignments and shit and waking up in the wee hours of morning to get to school on time for discussions and presentations. thus, waking up at 9 just now was sucha pleasureeeeee.
